Meet Jo!
As a therapist, I have a passion for understanding the complexities of the human mind. I specialise in a variety of areas, including anxiety and stress management, perfectionism, trauma recovery, interpersonal difficulties, and emotional regulation.
I believe in the importance of a collaborative therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy and respect. Whether you’re navigating overwhelming stress, facing emotional difficulties, or seeking guidance through life transitions, I am here to support you with compassionate, evidence-based interventions.
In addition to my clinical practice, I am dedicated to ongoing learning and professional development. I regularly engage in supervision, attend workshops, and stay up to date with the latest research in psychology to ensure I provide you with the highest standard of care, grounded in evidence-based practice.
My counselling style draws from a blend of therapeutic approaches, including Attachment Theory, Person-Centred Therapy, trauma-informed approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Schema Therapy. This integrative approach allows me to tailor treatment to your unique needs, combining evidence-based techniques with a deep understanding of psychological principles.
Outside of my work, I am drawn to spending time in nature, practising yoga, and exploring new books on psychology and wellness. These personal interests not only bring me joy but also enrich my therapeutic approach, reinforcing my belief in the mind–body connection and the importance of holistic wellbeing.
Thank you for considering me as your partner on this journey towards healing and personal growth. I look forward to working together to build a therapeutic space that supports you in achieving your goals and fostering a life of balance and wellbeing.
